I have to share something with you all today and this isn’t some abstract theology for me; it’s my story—born in the trenches of my own battles and the triumphs that came when I refused to stay down.
After Skylar was born, I spiraled into a fog I never saw coming. Sleepless nights blurred into numb, heavy days, and the woman staring back at me in the mirror didn’t even look like me anymore. People around me tried to help, but they didn’t really see it. Everyone kept saying this was the “baby blues,” but this wasn’t my first rodeo. This was my fourth child, and I knew in my spirit… this was something deeper.
I finally went to my doctor, desperate for help—but all they had to offer was a prescription. And while I don’t knock medication, I knew my issue wasn’t just chemical. My husband was working third shift, I was over 100 pounds heavier than I used to be, we were barely scraping by financially, and I was caring for four little ones under five, all day and all night, by myself.
This wasn’t just hormonal. This was warfare.
And the enemy did what he always does—he lied. He told me I was completely alone. That I couldn’t handle this. That nobody would understand. That I was too much, too broken, too far gone. And I believed him—for a while. I was in a dark and suicidal place. Smiling on the outside. Dying on the inside.
But God.
Slowly, He started pulling me out. It began when I made one hard decision: I went back to work. Not because it solved everything—but because it got me out of the house and out of my own way. It gave me space to breathe, to think, to remember who I was.
And over time, I began to realize just how much I had been hiding. I had pulled away from people who loved me, who would have shown up if I had only let them in. I had built walls when what I really needed was support.
God didn’t just hand me healing in one moment. He walked me out of the pit step by step—through community, through courage, through hard choices, and through grace. I learned that the enemy’s greatest weapon is isolation, but God’s answer is always presence—His, and His people’s.
And now? I fight for others who feel what I felt. Because I know what it is to look strong and feel like you’re dying. But I also know what it is to rise.
I’m writing because I see too many of us trapped in deception, isolation, and despair—and my spirit literally aches to set captives free. I know what it feels like to be ambushed by lies, to stumble in the dark, to wonder if God even sees me. And I refuse to let anyone else fight blind.
I’m writing to wake us up to the fierce battle for our hearts, minds, and souls. To arm us with the insight to spot the enemy’s schemes and shut them down. To stoke courage in anyone who’s been flattened by shame or fear, I’m here to remind you that you have been commissioned to conquer. To build up the Kingdom through radical unity, sharpened discernment, and relentless faith. To pass on a legacy of freedom, faith, and victory—to our kids, our church, and generations yet unborn.
This isn’t just ink on a page. It’s a battle cry. I’m calling you—God’s warrior—to rise. Reclaim your purpose. Enforce Heaven’s victory on this earth.
This is my mission, and I’ll never stop fighting for it.
You see, satan does this fun thing where he makes us think that we are alone in the battle. He is the ultimate liar.
Have we forgotten who we are? Have we lost sight of who we’ve been called to become? Do we realize there’s an enemy fiercely pursuing our souls, our hearts, and our lives? Make no mistake: this enemy is relentless. He seeks to steal our joy, rob our peace, and persuade us that we’re powerless. He whispers lies—that our lives lack purpose, that God has abandoned us.
Let me introduce you to our Spiritual Warfare Manual also known as the book of Ephesians. Paul wrote Ephesians as a bold proclamation to the church in Ephesus, emphasizing that believers aren’t merely “saved” people—they’re empowered sons and daughters positioned strategically by God. This letter doesn’t just teach doctrine; it reveals your Kingdom identity, your divine inheritance, and your critical role in God’s unfolding purpose.
Chapter 1: Our Identity & Inheritance
Paul opens with a bold declaration of who you are in Christ:
- Chosen before creation (Eph 1:4)
- Adopted as sons and daughters (Eph 1:5)
- Redeemed, forgiven, and sealed by the Holy Spirit (Eph 1:7, 13)
- Given a guaranteed inheritance (Eph 1:14)
Paul prays that believers grasp the spiritual riches and power accessible to them through Christ:
"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you..." – Eph 1:18
Insight:
Understanding your identity in Christ shifts your perspective from insecurity to authority. You’re not fighting FOR victory; you’re fighting FROM victory.
You say you’ve prayed? Good. You’d better stay connected to the Source because without Him, you won’t stand a chance. Satan isn’t impressed by how many worship songs you know, how often you fill the pews, or how strong you appear. He doesn’t care how perfectly you say the right words. He aims to destroy you from the inside out. If you aren’t vigilant, you might find yourself dangerously close to the brink, overwhelmed and desperate before you even recognize the attack.
Stay awake. Stay connected. Know your enemy—but most importantly, know your God.
Friends – we are just getting started. We’ve been chosen! BY THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE! FOR SUCH A TIME AS THISSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Chapter 2: Alive in Christ
Paul reminds believers that we were spiritually dead but are now alive by grace through faith:
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” – Eph 2:8
You’re seated with Christ (Eph 2:6), which means your spiritual position is elevated above every attack of the enemy. The power of sin no longer controls you—unless you surrender your authority willingly.
Insight:
You’re seated spiritually in heavenly places—start seeing life from that vantage point. Every earthly battle can be fought from this supernatural perspective.
This is much more than merely understand who WE are though, its about recognizing that we are NOT alone. When satan convinces us that we are alone – he gets the upper hand. Friend you are not strong enough alone. You need your village! I’ve seen walls demolished—at home, in small groups, at church—and every time, darkness lost ground. Unity isn’t optional; it’s our frontline offense. When we press into togetherness, we tip the scales of spiritual warfare, broadcasting Kingdom power in real time.
So lean in. Fight for unity. Let the world—and every spiritual enemy—see what happens when God’s people walk as one.
Chapter 3: Unveiling God’s Plan
Paul reveals a divine mystery: Gentiles and Jews united as one body in Christ (Eph 3:6). This unity reveals the wisdom of God to spiritual realms, declaring that darkness has been defeated through unity and love:
“His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in heavenly realms.” – Eph 3:10
Insight:
Your unity with other believers is a weapon against darkness. Division gives the enemy a foothold, but unity exposes and dismantles his schemes.
Have you ever wondered why God unified Jews and Gentiles? Why did He think this was important? (This is just how my brain works ya’ll… I ask the Lord ALOT of questions…)
Well! God did this to reveal His heart for redemption, His plan for reconciliation, and His power to destroy every dividing wall that sin created. This wasn’t just about ethnicity or religion—it was about fulfilling a Kingdom purpose that had always been in His heart: to gather a people from every nation, tribe, and tongue under the lordship of Jesus Christ.
Here’s the why, unpacked:
- To Fulfill the Promise to Abraham
God told Abraham that “all nations on earth will be blessed through you” (Genesis 22:18). That promise was never just for one people group—it was always global. Through Christ, both Jews and Gentiles now receive that same blessing and inheritance. - To Reveal the Power of the Gospel
The division between Jews and Gentiles wasn’t small—it was centuries deep, rooted in culture, law, tradition, and hostility. But the Gospel tore that wall down.
“For He Himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility.” – Ephesians 2:14
God uniting Jew and Gentile proves that no division—racial, cultural, historical, or spiritual—is stronger than the blood of Jesus. - To Create One Unified Body: The Church
God wasn’t just saving individuals—He was creating a new family. A people. A Church. And that Church would reflect the diversity of heaven and the unity of Christ.
“His purpose was to create in Himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace.” – Ephesians 2:15
This “new humanity” wasn’t a compromise—it was a revelation of something higher: Kingdom identity. - To Crush Satan’s Strategy of Division
The enemy’s game is always division—divide families, divide churches, divide nations. But God unifying Jews and Gentiles sent a clear message: the Kingdom of God is not divided.
Every act of unity is a declaration of war against darkness. The Church, made up of once-divided people now walking as one, is a living, breathing weapon in God’s hands. - To Reflect Heaven on Earth
Heaven isn’t homogeneous. Revelation 7:9 shows a multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language worshiping before the throne. God unifying Jews and Gentiles now is a taste of what’s to come—a foreshadowing of heaven’s culture.
So why did God unify Jews and Gentiles?
Because the Gospel is for all.
Because unity is powerful.
Because His Kingdom is bigger than borders, bloodlines, or backgrounds.
Because together, we reflect His glory in ways we never could alone.
Chapter 4: Unity & Spiritual Maturity
Paul instructs believers to live worthy of their calling, stressing unity and maturity:
- “Make every effort to keep unity through the Spirit” (Eph 4:3).
- Equip others, building up the body of Christ (Eph 4:12).
- Grow into spiritual maturity—no longer tossed by deceitful schemes (Eph 4:14).
Insight:
Unity isn’t passive—it’s active, intentional, and strategic. Fight for unity as fiercely as you’d fight any spiritual battle.
My precious friend – this is war.
Spiritual warfare isn’t some abstract concept; it’s the daily, ongoing battle for your mind, your peace, your purpose, and ultimately, your soul. You must recognize that the enemy operates through stealth and deception. He’s strategic, cunning, subtle. He doesn’t come wearing horns or carrying a pitchfork; he comes cloaked as distraction, discouragement, temptation, and despair. He attacks your identity and distorts your perception of God’s truth.
Chapter 5: Walking in Love and Light
Paul urges believers to imitate Christ by walking in sacrificial love and spiritual purity:
“Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” – Eph 5:14
This chapter emphasizes discernment and vigilance, calling believers to expose darkness rather than tolerate it (Eph 5:11).
Insight:
Discernment means exposing and confronting spiritual darkness. It refuses compromise, stands firm in truth, and shines Christ’s light.
Discernment is your weapon of warfare. It’s seeing beyond what’s in front of you—recognizing the fingerprints of darkness behind confusion, chaos, and doubt. It’s knowing that every thought entering your mind isn’t necessarily your own or from God, and taking captive those thoughts before they take captive your heart.
You must recognize the patterns of your enemy:
- Isolation: Satan convinces you that you’re alone—because isolation breeds vulnerability. He whispers lies in your ear, hoping you’ll retreat from community, from accountability, from truth.
- Condemnation: He pours shame over your mistakes, keeping you stuck in cycles of guilt and regret. But conviction leads to repentance and freedom—condemnation leads to bondage. Know the difference.
- Distraction: He doesn’t always need you in outright sin; sometimes he’s content with merely distracting you from your purpose, from prayer, from intimacy with God. Small compromises are his specialty.
- Fear & Anxiety: These aren’t merely emotions; they are spiritual assignments to paralyze you, silence your voice, and sabotage your calling. Recognize fear as warfare and rebuke it boldly with the authority of Christ.
Chapter 6: Spiritual Warfare
Paul concludes with an epic call to arms—revealing spiritual warfare clearly and practically:
- “Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power” (Eph 6:10).
- Recognize your battle isn’t against people, but against spiritual powers and authorities (Eph 6:12).
- Put on the full armor of God (Eph 6:13-18): truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God.
Insight:
Armor up daily. Spiritual warfare demands intentionality. You must proactively prepare and strategically engage.
We can’t win battles we’re unaware of. Spiritual warfare demands awareness, vigilance, and readiness. Ephesians 6 tells us clearly: our struggle isn’t against flesh and blood. It’s against powers, principalities, and spiritual wickedness in high places.
Therefore, arm yourself—daily—with the armor of God:
- Belt of Truth: Truth as your foundation. Satan thrives on lies. Truth disarms him. Breastplate of Righteousness: Guard your heart. Righteousness keeps your integrity intact.
- Shoes of Peace: Peace makes your steps steady. Stay grounded in peace, not panic.
- Shield of Faith: Your defense against doubt, accusation, and fiery darts.
- Helmet of Salvation: Protect your mind; anchor your thoughts in who you are in Christ.
- Sword of the Spirit (Word of God): Sharp and Effective Offense weapon. SPEAK TRUTH.
Wake up each day aware you’re stepping onto a battlefield. Not afraid—but alert. Not paranoid—but powerful in Christ. The enemy might roar, but the battle belongs to the Lord.
This is war, and victory is yours through Jesus Christ. Fight with discernment, fight with authority, and never fight alone.
“Okay Meg – I hear you but what do I care?”
You care about this because your life—your calling, your purpose, your family, your peace, your future—is on the line.
You care because you can’t afford to live unaware. You can’t afford to let your guard down or underestimate your enemy. You’re not here just existing—you’re here to take ground, to break strongholds, and to walk boldly into the destiny God designed specifically for you.
Why does this matter?
- Because ignorance is deadly: Satan thrives on believers who remain passive and unaware. Ignoring warfare doesn’t make it disappear—it hands victory to the enemy.
- Because you’re called to victory: Jesus didn’t die and conquer death for you to live defeated, anxious, or confused. He bought your freedom—own it, guard it, fight for it.
- Because your legacy depends on it: You’re not just fighting for yourself—you’re fighting for generations after you. Your victories today become the foundations of their faith tomorrow.
- Because you were created for purpose: You’re not a mistake, an afterthought, or insignificant. You are intentionally placed here by God to make Kingdom impact. Your enemy knows your potential; that’s why he’s fighting so hard against you.
- Because someone else needs you to fight: Your testimony, your breakthrough, your courage—they’re lifelines for those around you. When you walk in freedom and authority, you empower others to do the same.
- Because Christ’s victory must be enforced: Jesus already won, but you’re called to enforce that victory here and now. Spiritual warfare is enforcing Heaven’s reality on earth, pushing back darkness with divine authority.
So yes, you care. You care deeply. Because this isn’t just theology—it’s survival. It’s empowerment. It’s freedom. It’s about stepping into the fullness of who God created you to be.
Armor up, warrior.
Your life matters.
This fight matters.
Victory is yours—but only if you’re willing to engage.
